Campers participate in five activities a day, which they choose at the beginning of the session. Emphasizing the child's choice, there are many different activities for each camper to choose to participate in during the day: archery, photography, canoeing, swimming, drama, pottery, painting, bead work, weaving, soccer, outdoor living skills, cheerleading, the Millwheel (our camp newspaper), Y-Spirit (leading our Sunday worship service), volleyball, sign language, etc. Campers can add horseback riding to this list (if pre-registered).
Our two-week campers will choose a spot on camp to camp out and cook over an open fire. They will also have the option to pre-register for optional activities such as whitewater rafting, daily horseback riding, theater arts trips, and more! Please see our Registration Form for more details or contact us with any questions! Registration process in progress.

Advanced Outdoor Living Skills (OLS)
(for ages 11+)
If you're not quite ready (or old enough) for Adventure Camp, we have another short-term option. Advanced OLS is a trip that must be pre-registered for and includes an off-camp campout where campers put to use several of the major skills they learn in OLS.
Advanced Canoe
(for ages 11+)
It's NEW! Advanced Canoe is also a trip that must be pre-registered for. This means that campers will be placed in a special Advanced Canoeing class where they will learn more advanced canoeing skills. At the end of the session, these campers will embark on a canoe trip down one of several local rivers.
Horseback Specialty Program
The Horseback Specialty Program is definitely for the true horse enthusiast. Campers will spend a minimum of five hours per day at the stables. The day begins with catching and feeding and ends with grooming, feeding and turning them back out. In between, horseback campers receive excellent instruction from our Horseback Director and staff to improve their riding and jumping skills, go on trail rides, have an overnight riding campout, and learn care of horses and tack. This program is considered a "working camp" where campers are assigned 1-2 horses they are responsible for taking care of. This includes feeding, grooming, and yes, mucking the stalls! These campers are housed together, but they eat meals, have rest period, store, free swim, and participate in evening program with the rest of camp. These campers spend the most time together by far; therefore they form very strong bonds with each other and their counselors.

CIT Leadership
Our Counselor-In-Training Program (CIT) is a 2-year process. This program provides the opportunity for young women, who have completed their first year of high school, to participate in a month-long seminar program involving development of leadership, programming, teaching, health and safety, and outdoor skills. First-year CIT's live in a separate building with the CIT Director. Much of their time is spent learning about the experiences of camp counselors, and how do deal with camp-related issues. These girls also have duties like leading songs, helping with the dishes, and helping tuck campers in. The hands-on activities, opportunities to help in the cabin and lead evening program, and growth in confidence and self esteem, support the culmination of this two-part program.
Second-year CIT's live in the cabins with campers and counselors. They are treated very much like staff, and have some staff privileges like spending time in the staff lounge. These girls meet on a daily basis with the CIT Director to discuss their experiences in the cabins, activities, and everyday camp life. Upon completion of the CIT Program, these graduates are eligible to become a counselor. Many of our summer staff have completed this program, returning to camp year after year.
