Mother-Daughter is almost here!

Join us at camp for Mother-Daughter Weekend- April 27-29, 2012! Our theme this year is Silver & Gold- we’ll be celebrating camp’s 25th anniversary in Clarkesville. Mother-Daughter is a weekend of fun, friends, and fellowship. We’ll kick off with a night program Friday evening, then off to bed to get ready for a full day Saturday. All day is spent rotating through activities, going to the camp store, taking a break for rest time- just like a day at camp! Whether you’re a new camper wanting to try out camp before the summer or an “old timer”, Mother-Daughter is a lot of fun! Contact camp with any questions at info@athensywcocamp.com. To download a form, click Mother-Daughter Registration.

Camp Songbooks

We’ve had requests from some of our Alumni Family for some camp songbooks!

And although we’ve moved to the mountains, we’re still singing Sewanee, Today, Tell Me Why, and Good ‘Ol Mountain Dew! We recently retyped our songbook and it is available as a PDF for anyone interested. It may not have all of the the old songs, but a lot that you recognize!

Please send us an email at ycamp@windstream.net we’ll send it to you so you can still be “the girls from Y camp we’ve heard so much about!” If you feel inclined, in return a small (or large) donation to our scholarship fund would be greatly appreciated! In these hard times, we have a lot of requests and try very hard not to turn down any campers for financial reasons. Any small donation will help girls continue to learn the songs that you love!

We would love to be able to put together in digital format all of the camp songs that have since been retired, so if you would email titles, words, whatever you remember to darilee@athensywcocamp.com, that would be great!

In their latest post, they’ve talked about their love for camp and experiences over the many years they’ve come spent part of their summer at camp! Check it out here on the Athens Banner-Herald website. Congratulations from camp to these two wonderful writers!!
